Halle Berry

Halle Berry is an American actress who initially started her career as a model. She was the first runner-up in the Miss USA pageant and sixth in the Miss World in 1986. Berry starred in a lot of movies, including Boomerang (1992), The Flintstones (1994), Bulworth (1998), to name a few.

Her role in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999) earned her a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She also won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the romantic drama film Monster’s Ball (2001).

When filming for Living Dolls, she lapsed into a coma and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Berry said publicly that she thought she was going to die, but realized, after all, that diabetes was a gift that gave her strength and toughness because she had to face reality.
