This otherworldly mountain is one of the most photographed mountains thanks to its prominent location on Iceland’s Snæfellsnes peninsula, and it being in close proximity to the equally show-stopping natural beauty, Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall. Called “church mountain” due to its resemblance to a church steeple, it’s a freestanding formation known for its lushness in the summer and stark contrast in the winter.
