The Evolution of 2017 and Its Perspective
Bahtiyar Duysak, former temporary worker at Twitter poses during an interview at the Reuters office in Frankfurt, Germany, on December 8, 2017. Duysak was responsible for setting into motion a process that deactivated President Donald Trump’s Twitter account for a total of 11 minutes, sparking insane amounts of conversation. Twitter quickly restored the account. Duysak was working in Twitter’s customer support department as part of the Trust and Safety division, and was on his way out the door on his last day of work when he noted that someone had reported Trump’s account. As a last act, he started the deactivation, and walked out.
