The Evolution of 2017 and Its Perspective
The “Weinstein Effect,” or the #metoo movement, or “The Reckoning.” A wave of of sexual-misconduct allegations against men in positions of power built slowly through the year. It started in April of 2017, with the ouster of Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, followed by several smaller stories through the summer.
