Muslim pilgrims circumambulate the Ka’bah, Islam’s holiest site, located in the centre of the Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque). Every year pilgrims perform a series of rituals during the Hajj, including running back and forth between the hills of Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, drinking from the Zamzam Well, and travelling to the plains of Mount Arafat to stand in vigil.
