A 2018 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that people who are multitasked on social media didn’t perform as well as people who usually spend less time on social media in some cognitive activities.

Therefore, experts advise you to ignore notifications and try to limit your interaction with all those online platforms, because in this way you will reduce the temptation of checking several accounts at the same time.
