The power of social media is unlimited, as there are millions of apps, websites and other social platforms where people can communicate and post various things about themselves. For example, if you follow a lot of fashion influencers or healthy conscious bloggers on Instagram, you will start to assimilate their values and principles, making you realize that eating healthy and dressing nicely may be a good option for you to feel better – this is a positive effect. But, if you start to feel anxious and depressed because you don’t have enough money to dress like them or resources to look like them, your self esteem levels will drop significantly, adversely affecting your quality of life at the same time – this is a negative effect.
