Pumpkin carving

Pumpkin carving is a popular ritual performed during the Halloween holiday and has been existed since 1866. This tradition was first reported as a “great sacrifice of pumpkins” by the children’s magazine Harper’s Young People. This ritual is also known as the “Jack-o’-lantern” and it is said that this tradition came to the United States of America from Irish immigrants.
