Thanksgiving Day is one of the oldest American traditions, dating back to 1621. Americans celebrate Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November. Well, even though this tradition has historical roots in religious cultures, it has been celebrated as a secular holiday as well. Nevertheless, Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1863.
