Chewing gum is illegal in Singapore

Did you know that it is illegal to chew gum in Singapore? The authorities have banned chewing gum in order to keep the city clean. This rule applies to spitting and urinating anywhere but in a toilet and you are obligated to flush, whether you are opting for a public bathroom or your own. 

Well, we think that this is actually a good idea because this way you maintain the city cleaned and other people do not have to clean after you. 

Chewing gum has been banned since 1996 in Singapore, but in 2014, the government made an exception for therapeutic, dental or nicotine gums, but you have to prove the purpose.
