According to Reddit user whimbrel, “this may seem too ridiculous to be true, but I assure you, it is… Until she was in her mid-20s, my sister believed Mount Rushmore was a naturally occurring rock formation. Until somewhere in her teen years, she thought earlier Americans had used Mount Rushmore to select presidents and was very concerned we had ‘used up all the good ones.'”

Mount Rushmore is located Keystone, South Dakota and the sculpture was designed by Gutzon Borglum between 1927 and 1941. You can see there the heads of four Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln and they were chosen to represent the country.
