Nachos

The story of nachos is very interesting and funny. Ignacio Anaya worked as the maitre d’ at the Victory Club in Piedras Negras, a Mexican town, when he invented the nachos. So, it all started when Ignacio couldn’t find the cook when someone wanted to order some food.

He didn’t want to let his clients leave without eating so he quickly made a dish on the spot with tortilla chips, jalapeno peppers, and cheese. As you probably already know, the name of the dish comes from Ignacio’s nickname, being a shorter pronunciation ‘nacho’.
