Interesting bendable screens

Well, raise your hand if you dropped your phone at least once on the tiles and your screen was broken into dozens of pieces!

Scientists have developed a new type of flexible OLED screens that will make your life easier. An OLED, the abbreviation of Organic Light-Emitting Diode, is an electronic component shaped like a thin light-emitting foil, made out of an organic semiconductor material. Organic Light-Emitting Diode is also known as an organic LED.

According to HowtoGeek.com, “Organic light-emitting diode displays (aka OLED displays) work by pulsing electricity through a mesh of organic compounds. They are extremely thin, flexible, and vivid. They don’t require a backlight, and they can produce bolder colors than thick LED displays.”
