Launched by 1854 Media – publishers of the British Journal of Photography – and Magnum Photos, the Portrait of Humanity photography award showcases international creative work centered around the shared notions of individuality, community and unity worldwide.
With the ultimate goal of creating a genuinely collaborative photography exhibition, the new initiative seeks to capture the many faces of humanity around the globe.
With entries open until Jan. 8, 2019, the award is open to anyone and to all interpretations of portraiture. Take a look through our gallery for some of the best images entered so far.
