25 Rarely Seen Photos Showing the American Life of the ’50s

Most photos were black and white then, but this selection is colorful to make the period feel closer to you. This selection of photos will provide you a different perspective about America back in those days.

Many of the photos were collected by Denis Fraevich, a New Yorker of Russian descent who loves to bring the era back to life. “The pictures were found at auctions, flea markets and yards, digitized and posted on the Internet,” he said.
