Damara, Central African Republic

Matthias, delegate of the Mobaye refugees, leaves for work along the Oubangui River, at Longo island. Like other villages along the river, it has become a refuge for fishermen of the Haute-Kotto. They flee from the Anti-Balaka militia, who kidnap and ransom them to force them to become combatants, notably through ritual scarifications.
