This fairytale-like photo was taken at 1,700 meters altitude in February, which is the coldest month of the year in Japan. Apparently, capturing diamond dust like this took the photographer four years of trying!

The only place giant pandas can still be found is central China; however, even here, they are on the verge of extinction. This panda breed is particularly shy and difficult to breed and willing to receive help – this one, though, was a success.

Here, an 11-year-old boy suffering from the rare Prader-Willi Syndrome (which makes him gain extra weight) is attending a medical procedure of burning belly flat.. literally.

What looks like a fish tornado is actually the photographer’s successful attempt of keeping a bank of fish together enough to capture their beauty.

If you wanted to see a real tornado, though, this is one of the best entries for the Open Competition, Nature category. The strange colors of the storm and the way clouds are gathering is simply chilling.
