This Red iPhone 7 Took Everyone By Surprise (In What Way?)

Usually, when a company as large as Apple is going to make an announcement, the whole world knows it before it happens. In this case, one of the most important tech giants took everybody by surprise.

Apple just announced the release of ta red iPhone 7, along with an iPhone 7 Plus. Both of the products come in aluminium finish – but why did they keep the whole thing as a secret? And why the heck did they choose red as the only color available?

Well, the company celebrates its 10 year partnership with RED, as well as the Global Fund. This is where the beautiful matte red comes from. Much more importantly than that is the fact that, this time, Apple is going to raise the money made out of sales to fighting against AIDS – which is a major charity cause worldwide.

But this isn’t the first Apple product that gets the RED treatment. A special version of the iPod Nano, which also happened to become very popular, is known for its bright, yet subtle shades of red.

“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products,” declared Apple CEO Tim Cook.
