Teen Randomly Finds 7.44-carat Diamond At The Arkansas Park

I don’t know how the past few days had been for you, but a 14-year-old teenager from Arkansas definitely hit the jackpot by randomly stumbling upon the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas!

It’s been years and years since people have begun searching for diamonds in the spot where now is a small park. Sadly, each one of them ended up going home with less free time and no precious diamonds in their pocket.

Well, it only took about 30 minutes for Kalel Langford, who was just taking a walk around the park, to notice a stone that looked differently than the others. We’ll let his dad tell you the story.

“We had only been at the park for about 30 minutes when he found it. Its color was so dark that we weren’t sure if it was a diamond, but we knew we needed to have it looked at.”

So Alan and his father went straight to the local Diamond Discovery Center only to find out that this was actually one of the biggest diamonds ever found in the park!

As the boy declared, he wants to keep the diamond as a souvenir – well, we’ll see about that during his college years.
