Here’s What Snapchat Would’ve Looked Like In The ’50s

No matter if you’re a Snapchat user or not, everybody knows what this popular app can do for people. Mainly, Snapchat allows you to take short videos that your friends can see for only a few seconds, after which the video disappears.

However, we couldn’t help wonder what would’ve been like if we were able to make and share precious moments of our lives, let’s say, during the ’50s – and it looks like someone already did that! Stockfilm, a Colorado-based studio, uses a series of complex programs and video processing techniques in order to turn old video clips into digital videos which are simply perfect for Snapchat.

The videos, which have to date from the ’30s to the ’80s, range from birthday parties, games, animals, children and other special times of the usual random people from back in the day.

The company’s founder, Phil Maher, explains that “Our mission is to give a voice to the unsung heroes of yesterday that captured their personal reality of the times as future generations deserve access to diverse and real perspectives.

In other words, you can’t see where you’re going if you don’t understand the past.”
